Marine Interpretation Centre Summer Program
A variety of interpretive programming throughout the summer season. Junior Naturalist programs help kids understand the marine environment of Bonavista Bay. There are also tours of the centre, beach walks and oceanology programs available.

Loggers' Sports Festival
Includes log rolling, axe and tree cutting competitions, log throwing and a loggers' obstacle course. Interpretive exhibits of Gambo's logging heritage will be showcased, as well as a professional timber show exhibition.

Canada Day In Norris Arm
Begins with breakfast 8-10am. A ceremony and laying of wreaths at War Memorial. Cutting of huge Canada Day cake at approximately 12pm. Fun filled day of games, food, horse rides and events for children. Street dance 8 -11pm. Fireworks display.

Celebrate Canada's birthday with a Flag Raising Ceremony. Presentation of Canada Youth Awards, gigantic kids' fair, concert in the park, seniors flag raising & entertainment, cake cutting ceremony, neighborhood teas, and huge fireworks display.

Canada Day Celebrations - Lewisporte
Celebrating Canada's birthday with a community BBQ, bike parade, children's activities and adult/youth dances.

Canada Day In Provincial Parks - Central
A celebration of the nation's birthday, as well as tribute to those who fell at the battle of Beaumont Hamel. Events start in the morning and run throughout the day. Activities include cake cutting, speeches, singing of the national anthem, games, nature scavenger hunts, and lots more. Takes place in Notre Dame Provincial Park and Dildo Run Provincial Park.

Soirees & Times - Confederation, A Company Town's View
Three courses of Newfoundland food and fun are served up as the unique opinions of the Grand Falls population towards Confederation with Canada are brought to life. Admission: Adult $28.75 and Children (Under 12) $17.50.

Parks Day/take A Hike - Terra Nova National Park
Hike the Coastal Trail starting at Newman Sound or Marine Interpretation Centre. This trail is easily accessible for kids. Hikers will have a chance to win both local and national prizes. The hike is for individuals, groups and families. No admission charge.

Newfoundland Day At Newman Sound
